The parade was an absolute delight!
I awoke on Sunday morning humming "... and I say to myself, it's wonderful, wonderful ..." and Johnny Mathis and I spent the rest of the day walking on air.
You are all welcome for the soup etc. and thank you all for making it happen once again.
Now, back to work ... this just in from United for Peace and Justice: "Please call your Representative today on the Capitol Switchboard 1-855-686-6927 with two messages: * I strongly urge you to vote against Rep. Cantor's legislation on Iran, which would tie the hands of our negotiators and prevent a diplomatic solution. * I strongly urge you to vote against the 2014 Defense Authorization Act, which continues the war in Afghanistan and squanders billions of dollars on wasteful weapons systems at a time when we are not adequately funding the urgent needs of our people."
I placed two separate calls, in both cases getting Schiff's voicemail -- I hope because they are getting too many calls to handle.

Anni will post more of Bill's photos to illustrate the message board, but the best way to enjoy his many excellent shots of the Peace Train -- and some of the other entrants in the Montrose Christmas Parade on December 7 -- is to click on this link for Bill's Flickr page, then enlarge the individual photos by clicking on each: www.flickr.com/photos/21249015@N07/sets/72157638653588454/Thankfully, Bill got a picture of the Glendale Peace Vigil panel on the caboose, designed and painted by Roberta this year.

Roberta continues developing as an artist. I wish I'd been there to see it.

Roberta continues developing as an artist. I wish I'd been there to see it. OK...Thought I'd heard you talking about "the caboose" wasn't sure...so instead of fact checking, just went ahead and posted. Bad Anni...So you did do all the painting, Jeanne? And to further clarify, this just in from Roberta: "Jeanne painted the locomotive picture and the Glendale Peace Vigil lettering around the circle. She used the image I had downloaded as a starting point and, obviously, went beyond. I built the frame and put on the red paper, then homemade laminated with clear plastic Jeanne's painting, in case it rained, and placed it in the middle (almost) of the frame."

It was another wonderful collaboration. Or more like Roberta's project part of which she outsourced.
I just couldn't help but pull your leg a little bit, anni. Leg pulling probably not the most peaceful thing to do. Love you.
