I wondered if I should move this thread and decided that it's good to have lots of stuff to check out in different places....then again I'm not a very linear thinker and my point is sometimes hard to find....So many choices, so little time!!!

True Beatles fans may find this banal, or worse, an insult to "the boys", as George Martin always called them. Apologies if so, I think it sounds like great fun. Being allowed to picnic at Descanso is itself cause to celebrate! Maybe a non-corner group activity? www.descansogardens.org/site/detail.cfm?EventID=3367

Roberta, The sensitivity training is paying off, especially with most tribute bands that I've seen, but if it's the Imagine group that I know - the Lennon guy & his family (brother does George; met the parents at a peace rally:Imagine performed for free & supplied the equipment for themselves & other performrs) are very politically Lennon - unlike most of the tribute bands that just imitate the superficial - & they always do "Imagine" even when it's a rock deal with people who would otherwise be just sort of sloshing around on the dance floor working harder than they have since birth to become even more comfortably numb..like a Trojan Horse for peace, you know? That's all. Thank you. Love, Nancy (Sometimes I wish I were more of an intellectual but the sophmoric perspective offers so much more accurate a take on the Beatles, Oscar Wilde, Keats & so on.."through verdurous glooms & winding mossy ways"...Peace out.)
