Cynthia is ok for now, at her mother's with her pets. Left when they told everyone to leave, Friday night at around 11pm, with no inanimate objects. Some are calling it the "Sayre fire" -- that is her street.

Thank you for that, Roberta.
I was still up at 2:30 this morning -- and so was Channel 4's 11 p.m. news team -- trying to imagine that Cynthia lives further south from the fire.
Hopefully she'll be able to go home today. I just heard that 10,000 may remain evacuated until tomorrow!

Cynthia's house survived w/o damage. She stayed home from work yesterday to clean the ashes out of her bathtub, etc. Sounds like a valid use of a LAUSD personal day to me ...
