Traffic was down considerably in February: the highest number of accumulated guests was 58 and the lowest was 24. At this moment, the counter says that 36 guests stopped by in the past 24 hours. Remarkably, March was the best month since November 2015, with a peak count of 99 guests and a low mark of 31. As I click on reply, the Forum Information & Statistics box at the bottom of the homepage reads 82 guests online in the last 24 hours.
A couple of weeks ago, Anni started clicking on the ads frequently, wanting to support ProBoards, which hosts the Montrose Peace Vigil message board. That could explain some of the increased traffic but probably not all of it, since the daily guest accumulation in the first half of March was already running about 50 percent higher than February's readings. Cookies follow members and guests when they visit the message board. Perhaps you've noticed that the ads sometimes mirror your interests or your geographic location. Surely it's no coincidence that I've seen ads by Amazon for the forthcoming albums by Ray and Dave Davies here after I've been reading about them elsewhere online.

As I click on reply, the Forum Information & Statistics box at the bottom of the homepage reads 82 guests online in the last 24 hours. Now the counter says 76. Overall, April was even more remarkable than March, with a peak of 111 guests over the previous 24 hours and a low of 27. Logged in members of the Montrose Peace Vigil message board do not show up in the guest count, and Anni and I thank all of you for your continued interest.
Following up on the experiment I wrote about last month: Anni continued to click on the ads -- just one or two a day -- for the first two weeks of April. Coincidentally or not, that's when the board had its largest number of daily visitors. Then she quit. The numbers stayed up for a while, then slid into the 50's, typically. She started clicking again a few days ago, and tally of unique IP addresses have been climbing again. Anni only clicks on the palatable ads for products, services and political candidates and causes that ProBoards sends based on your browsing history.

May matched April's highest guest count with 111. The lowest number seen all month was 36. Currently, the Forum Information & Statistics box reports that 72 unique IP addresses visited this message board yesterday, not including logged in members.
Traffic is definitely on the upswing since February, when the high mark all month was 58 guests. Only two days in May had fewer guests in the previous 24 hours.

The upward trend continued in June. The counter on the bottom of the homepage reached a peak of 115, and the low mark was 33 guests online in the last 24 hours. Right now it says 48. In July, the Montrose Peace Vigil message board had the least traffic in six months: the highest number of guests in the last 24 hours was 68 and the lowest was 25. As I click on reply, the Forum Information & Statistics box says an accumulated 60 unique IP addresses visited today, in addition to members.

In August, the peak was 92 guests online in the last 24 hours and the low mark was 24. At this moment, the daily accumulated guest count reads 67. The guest count in September peaked at 147 unique IP addresses -- the most visiting the Montrose Peace Vigil message board in a single day since July 2014 -- and bottomed at 33 users. Currently, the statistics box at the bottom of the homepage says 61. What explains the big bump in traffic? I don't have the time to identify which visitors are bots and which are probable humans as I did years ago, but I know first hand that a lot of local fans helped to register 300 views in just two weeks for Yet another Ian Hunter thread, quite remarkable for this message board. That thread starts with the release of Ian Hunter and the Rant Band's latest album. Scroll down for the initial comments about their three mid-September shows in California, continuing on page 2 with more photos, concert videos and my obsession over a setlist. Johnny Depp makes cameo appearances.

At this moment, it says that 45 guest IP addresses landed here in the past 24 hours. Traffic has been especially brisk throughout December. The peak number of guests was 157, and the low mark was 33. Right now, the counter in the Forum Information & Statistics box shows an accumulated 70 Guests.
