In that five minute video, Yep Roc Records interviews Jon Rubin and Tommy Dunbar of the Rubinoos alongside Chuck Prophet, who produced and co-wrote every song on their comeback album, "From Home," released last month. Chuck's one of my favorite songwriters and performers. His latest thread is one of the most popular topics on the Montrose Peace Vigil message board. I thought you had to be a teenage girl in the late 1970's -- or a fan like me of Beserkley Records, which had Jonathan Richman and the Greg Kihn Band on its roster -- to remember the Rubinoos. In a recent newsletter, Chuck explained his involvement: The album is growing on me. Anni dug it the first time she heard it.
