Sorry I've not traveled up there recently. My car's been making funny noises, so I've tried to limit my driving. I was going up there for my smog check yesterday; but got too late with Karen blocking my exit from the driveway(street sweeping thing). Hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving. Oh, GO BRUINS.

The Glendale Peace vigil voted a while back to move to Saturdays for Dec 26 and Jan 2 so we just may join you in Montrose on Christmas evening. What better day to vigil for peace?

Though we've missed you something fierce, please know that you and yours are well thought of with much love. Stay in touch, that's important to me! That's great news about the Saturday vigils! Brian and I will be traveling to Palm Desert to visit with his folks on the 26th, but we'll see you in Glendale on Jan. 2, 2010! That's the first time I've written 2010! Cool!

I'll use this since Brian hasn't started his Vigils in December section. The huge news at the corner tonight is that I ran into Steve Pierce, the coordinator/organizer (he's the boss by any title) of the Montrose Christmas Parade today. We had a nice schmooze, the upshot of which is that we are in the parade next year.
Old-timers will remember that our first year or maybe 2nd year as a vigil we applied to be an entry in the local parade, were even told by one staffer that our idea for a Peace Train sounded great, but we were then turned down. Bummer.
Anyway, lots of time to plan, which is good. Creative juices are already overflowing. So keep your calendar open the first (probably) Saturday of December 2010, watch this space for details and to add your ideas, and .....
ALL ABOARD!!!!

My condolences on that Bill. Hey, I root for the Reds, I can relate. Yes, you are missed on the corner. And though the new neighbors are very nice, will never be like having another peacenik street vigiler right next door. Hi to Karen!!
