About this event
¡CHIRLA presenta el Día del ImPACTO Inmigrante para que los inmigrantes en nuestra comunidad se pongan en el mapa! Entérese de la redistribución de distritos, las elecciones especiales de 2021 y la campaña Sí Inmigrantes Avanzando. Mientras visita los puestos informativos, aprenderá a contar su historia, verá cómo encaja en el mapa de su distrito, y participará en decisiones que afectarán a su comunidad durante la próxima década.
Nuestra comunidad ya se aseguró de contar durante el censo. En esta siguiente fase, se prepara para hablar en los debates políticos sobre las líneas de nuestros distritos, para votar en las elecciones especiales, y para lograr la reforma migratoria a como dé lugar. Una comunidad informada reclama su poder y se pone en el mapa. ¡El Día del ImPACTO Inmigrante le sube el volumen! #ImPACTOInmigrante
CHIRLA is hosting ImmiPOWer Day to help immigrants in our community put themselves on the map! Participants will learn about redistricting, the special election of 2021, and the Yes to Immigrants Forward campaign. As they visit different booths, participants learn to tell their stories, see how they fit into their district maps, and get involved in decisions that will affect their communities for the next ten years.
During the census, our community made sure it counted. In this next phase, we will master the coming political debates over drawing district lines, voting in the coming special election, and passing immigration reform by any means available. An informed community reclaims its power and puts itself on the map. ImmiPOWer Day puts it on overdrive! #ImmiPOWerDay
