Council member John Drayman gave Empty Bowls a plug during the council meeting tonight. He said he'd repeat it next Tuesday, too. Thank you, Sharon, for sharing that news. And we look forward to seeing you next weekend! www.cvemptybowls.org/

Crescenta Valley Empty Bowls happens this Saturday! What's not to love every year -- the cause, old and new friends, soup made by a dozen local chefs, great live music, the donated door prizes and goodies for a silent auction, the spirit behind and inside the event, the handmade ceramic bowls themselves. Now Crescenta Valley Empty Bowls has a Facebook page: www.facebook.com/cvemptybowls#!/cvemptybowls?v=wall

I've carried such a good feeling from the third Crescenta Valley Empty Bowls event last month that I wandered back to the Facebook page to reminisce: www.facebook.com/cvemptybowls?v=wallThere I learned that Jeanne and company raised more than $8000 for three charities that feed people (and do so much more). Above Michael's photos, Pastor Paige posted a link to an article in the Crescenta Valley Weekly that mentions Montrose Peace Vigil in the lead. And she reports that more bowls will be available during the Crescenta Valley High School's Prom Plus Holiday Home Tour fundraiser on Saturday, Dec. 11.
