my son has seen it twice, which may or may not recommend it but he usually has pretty discerning taste for a 15 year old.

We enjoyed the fourth season premiere of "Big Love" on HBO. Anni had seen past episodes and I read up beforehand, so we understood who's who and what they're doing pretty well. Now we're hooked for all nine episodes (which were shot in Santa Clarita and places further north, aiding our local economy).
I also knew the cast, but that didn't prevent me from being blown away by their performances, especially Mary Kay Place, whom I've adored since 1975. I've never seen her this scary -- while being so funny.

Well, it's not actually right now but at 5:00 I'll be enjoying an out of the ordinary performance at UCLA. You can visit the website here: www.performancestudies.ucla.edu/index.htmPS. I designed the logo you see all over the Center for the Performing Arts, (person pontificating).

This was also posted by a friend on FB...It is quite a graceful performance. Actually breathtaking:
Kseniya Simonova is a Ukrainian artist who just won Ukraine's version of "America's Got Talent." She uses a giant light box, dramatic music, imagination and "sand painting" skills to interpret Germany's invasion and occupation of Ukraine during WWII.

Well, I have just found THE most wonderful Arts channel. It's called Ovation, on Time/Warner channel 175. There are shows on architecture/history/architects and painters, old and new. Designers, fashionable and/or interior. It is just WONDERFUL! It's here, on the internet: ovationtv.com/Have you heard of it?

Well, I'm not so sure what I saw....the brightest shining thing above a tiny sliver of golden, peachy moon...it was a beautiful moment, fun to take a breath! Thanks, Science Mikey!
