Guess it is the librarian in me, I am having a category crisis...should I post under Election Thread, or After theElection, as it soon will be after? No I've decided to start an Election Night one. We can delete it afterwards, or create a bestseller, who knows.
This morning Corah and I tried to vote, arriving there a few minutes before 7:00. There was already a short line waiting to sign in, and a small group signed in waiting for a booth. They must have opened early, good for them. But Corah had to catch the bus to school for an 8 oclock class.
Corah, who mocks John and I for being politically active, actually asked to make a family event of it, so we all voted just now, after she and John were home from school. Sweet!!!
Now to hunker down in front of a blazing tv/computer for the evening or as long as it takes.

Great to have the updates. I had an interesting voting experience. Paul (WE SUPPORT THE TROOPS) arrived at my polling place right ahead of me. I said hello and he gave me a friendly hi. Symmetry Happens.

I heard about Ohio on Sunland Boulevard on the way home from work!
We're passing the point of being able to jinx anything with that news. Suddenly, I care less about Virginia and North Carolina, although I enjoyed the apparent defeat of Dole.
My only sadness at this hour: It's too early to celebrate by drinking.

Hey, to paraphrase Chicago, drink early, drink often! NC, VI and Fl still look pretty good, esp. NC? I am running back and forth between the TV and the computer upstairs.
That is so nice that Paul was friendly, looks like they will have to be gracious losers (as of course we will be gracious winners!!!!) at the corner.

That was cool that Jeanne ran into Paul at the polling place.
I've been wondering what it's going to be like at the corner this Friday -- not just with the counter-protestors, but everyone driving and walking by.
I'm off work tomorrow, so I have all night to think about it.
Time for dinner now.
