Do you know anything about the area south of SuperCharBurger, we looked a house there today? I think we may have made an offer, but the wife and realator were yacking in Korean. There are some nice houses in that part of Tujunga bordering Sunland. I'd have to say it's always been a good place to live because I was basically born a few blocks from there at Valmont and Valaho and I still know that the father of one of my closest friends is living on Jardine forever and doing well. The house itself is the main consideration, as you know. You like it, yes? I would vouch for the area, which is not as quiet as our place, located about 500 feet higher in elevation from there. But you'd have other charms and conveniences, nestled in the foothills of the Verdugos within walking distance of shopping, the library, two parks, Tommy's and...Super Charburgers.

I would just like to say thank you for everyones thoughts about my Mother I am so surprised that Brain has not updated you on his Mother. She is doing well everyday getting stronger and back to herself. I only have one problem with her. She seems to be enjoying the skilled nursing center she is in to much. She is now learning to walk again. Attachments:

But he has been giving us updates on your Mom at the corner on Fridays, never fear, and thanks for this good report!

The death of retail recorded music is evident yet somehow postponed with every visit to Amoeba Records. Anni and I spent an hour there after the march in Hollywood last month. I wanted the Tim Finn anthology that came out in Australia last fall more than anything in the world, and I was also seeking some CD's for Martine's family in Winnipeg. We went to the store last August when Martine was here -- this time, we questioned the guy at the information desk to try to fulfill our international wish list. I expected to buy that Tim Finn solo career compilation with four new songs without any trouble. Amoeba had interviewed him upstairs for an online video three years ago and then stocked dozens of his "Rarities/Demos/Live Performances Vol. 1" CD and carried "The Conversation," only available as an import. But Amoeba would have to purchase each anthology online just like me, whom they presume would not pay the mark up. They're wrong -- I want to support the traditional distribution channels and pay my California sales tax to the store instead of through my Form 540 -- but I can't blame Amoeba. We struck out on Martine's personal choices. For the same reason they won't stock Tim Finn, there will be no new copies of the Mutton Birds' or Don McGlashan's releases from Down Under. Anni checked the used bins for them unsuccessfully, but she found a copy of the out-of-print movie soundtrack, "The Best of Godzilla 1984-1995," for Martine's boy there. I snagged a new "Tarzana Kid" by John Sebastian for her husband, who's even more mired in the 1970's than I am. I bought Anni a remastered set of Patti Smith's "Horses" and "Easter" with bonus tracks for her birthday and maybe Easter as well. But I left the store unable to score anything for myself.

Thanks Bernard for the get will wish. I am doing much better. This morning I went outside to do some Bird watching and make sure nothing had invaded my patio. I am doing what the Doc. told me to do taking my meds. Now it's time to find a cozy place to take a nap Thanks again Love Wally Attachments:
