Mandela Act alive in Legislature's new session

Governor Newsom vetoed the California Mandela Act on Solitary Confinement last September.  Assemblymember Chris Holden revised the bill to address his opposition, and it cleared the Assembly's Public Safety Committee last Tuesday.  The National Religious Campaign Against Torture has customizable letters to your state senator and assembly member depending on whether they supported last year's bill (like Laura Friedman), voted against it or weren't serving yet in Sacramento:
