‘Hiroshima Survivor Trees’ at Descanso Gardens

Thank you, Mat's Mom, for posting those links! When you mentioned the Hiroshima Survivor Trees at the vigil on Friday, I wondered why I hadn't heard about them being planted at Descanso Gardens. The date of that Los Angeles Times story in January 2020 explains it -- I was still working more than full time so I missed most stories in the Times back then.

I also learned that two Hiroshima Survivor seedlings were planted at nearby Dunsmore Elementary School two years earlier, according to this brief item in the Crescenta Valley Weekly with photos:
