World Premiere Silent Film Restoration, THIS SUNDAY Jan. 21, 2:30 PM at Old Town Music Hall, El Segundo
The 1925 silent film, Winds of Chance, will screen this Sunday January 21st at 2:30pm. Organist Robert York been rehearsing this film, and it is packed with adventure, romance, comedy, suspense and even some dry humor!
This is the WORLD PREMIERE of the restored version and it’s beautiful! Christopher Gray, the grandson of director Frank Lloyd, produced the restoration of the 1925 film and will be introducing the screening. He will also host a Q&A after the show, and share rare production stills. For the score Mr. York pull inspiration from the beauty of the terrain, the Old West feeling of the saloon, and the pathos of secret love. With the help of the Mighty Wurlitzer, this film truly comes alive, just as it did in 1925.
