How could I say no to Steve? There are no sponsors at all listed yet on the Centennial website and only the "platinum," big-spenders show up in the newspaper ads so far. We are in at the bronze level, and here's from Steve's email about it: "... one of the sponsorships (Bronze Buckle) includes a street pole banner (24" x 32") which would have Montrose Shopping Park at the top and just your Peace Vigil name . . . no one else on the banner. The banner would hang from the pole from February through August -- seven months of continual exposure. You could even request a specific pole (one closest to Memorial corner) if you desire. Once the banner comes down it belongs to your group." I will cheerfully accept contributions of any size to reimburse my $500.00 outlay. The Glendale vigil lives on in memory and online and will on our banner, which will say Montrose/Glendale Peace Vigils.

We'll be at the vigil tonight with a check! Thanks for the publicity - everybody needs more exposure to peace!

Proof positive Peace is alive and well in banner form, here in Montrose. Just east of one of our faves...Sushi Monster...on Honolulu, our very own Peace Banner:

Oh, goody! I'll do a drive by tomorrow, on my way to Curves, and get a new, improved picture of the correction! Cool, Roberta!

Thanks to Roberta and the nice folks at the sign shop who were so eager to fix our URL on the banner. This is actually the third different photo of the banner to run on our board. I think the URL reads best in this pic. Our banner has been moved to the corner of Honolulu and Ocean View!
They're giving the banner to us after August, when the celebration concludes. Ooooo. What will we do with it???

Use it as a sign during the vigils and then put it somewhere on the Peace Train for the Christmas Parade.

Here's our beautiful Montrose Peace Vigil Centennial Celebration Banner, in it's new location...right by where we have our vigil. If you look very closely you can see a couple of us strong hearts from last week's vigil...WOOHOO!
