I didn't make it last month but did today (I learned about it at the last minute). Their prices are pretty reasonable in my opinion. If you ever consider going, you may want to consult the map and directions on their site (http://arroyoseco.org/nurserydirections.htm). Once you get into the park, the path to the nursery in wind-y, and there are forks in the road.
People in La Crescenta/La Canada (I went to a nearby Trader Joe's) seem more in the holiday spirit than people in other parts of SoCal. Shoppers were polite and friendly; whereas at the Silver Lake Trader Joe's some were clearly irate. I encountered no road rage in the area either.
