Our friends at Crescenta Valley United Methodist Church are planning another delightful event -- and everybody is welcome. Jeanne sets the scene in her e-mail: Crescenta Valley United Methodist Church has a new way for you to celebrate the joy of Christmas this year. We will be telling the traditional nativity story and illustrating and illuminating it with the music of the Beatles. We hope that you will come enjoy this enlightening combination at:
Crescenta Valley United Methodist Church 2700 Montrose Avenue, Montrose, CA 91020
Sunday Morning, December 18th, at 10 AM
Arranged by our Music Director Barb Catlin-Bergeron, played by our worship band (who LOVE the Beatles) and sung and acted by a multitude of enthusiastic angels, shepherds, sheep, and tax collectors. You will be tempted to sing along and we encourage that. We hope that you will come celebrate the birth of God’s Love in the world.
Do consider giving it a chance, because all you need is LOVE.

And today, Dec. 17, another fabulous worship through Beatles music at CVUMC ( cvumc.org/welcome/ ). “Beatles Nativity: Love” a Christmas cantata, arranged by musical director Barb Catlin, featured all my favorites — angels, sheep, wise ones from the east, unwed poor parents, shepherds, a tax man — plus rainbow flag paraders and all accompanied by some of the best music ever, in my opinion. I’m sure Anni or Bryan will post a picture, because they were there too, making for, again in my opinion, the true miracle on this 3rd Sunday in Advent: Brian awake and vertical at 10:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning!
