I saw this at a theater a few weeks ago. It was the first time I ever heard that the war in Vietnam was questioned in the very first broadcast. Also, in 1976, Fred Rogers decided to end his children's show so he could do one where he talks to adults. In a clip of it we see him talking to a man about what it's like to be in prison. It seems like a great idea for a show. I always got more out of Fred Rogers's statements in adult venues (e.g., appearances on The Tonight Show) than I did in his children's program. However, this show didn't catch on, and by the early '80s he returned to Mister Rogers's Neighborhood.

We're going to be showing this at church in January. I hope that lots of neighbors come and watch it.
I didn't know he did the show for adults.I used to watch the show with my kids when the were little. I'd get dinner in the oven and sit and relax. I think he made me more peaceful.

Yesterday at the post office I saw a sign for Mister Rogers stamps! I told the person I wanted some, but that particular branch didn't carry them.
