Support asylum seekers July 12 - I'll mark my calendar and make a real effort to remember to participate in my own suggestion! From the Lights for Liberty website: Our Mission We are a coalition of people, many of whom are mothers, dedicated to human rights, and the fundamental principle behind democracy that all human beings have a right to life, liberty and dignity. We are partnering with national, regional and local communities and organizations who believe that these fundamental rights are not negotiable and are willing to protect them. On Friday July 12th, 2019, Lights for Liberty: A Vigil to End Human Detention Camps, will bring thousands of Americans to detention camps across the country, into the streets and into their own front yards, to protest the inhumane conditions faced by refugees. website: www.lightsforliberty.org/?fbclid=IwAR1dJs49NLgvEmMrvKsxuKnU40uv1T8SxDU-JLvhcSIHJohXfc6HKbUbwFk

Thank you for starting this thread, Sharon! I moved it to the Community department, where it will get more views, from the Montrose Peace Vigil Activities department.
So far, the nearest protest is at the Sherman Oaks Galleria.

I figured it was under MPV Activities cause it would make a good one! Easy enough (probably) to register us. Thank you for starting this thread, Sharon! I moved it to the Community department, where it will get more views, from the Montrose Peace Vigil Activities department.
So far, the nearest protest is at the Sherman Oaks Galleria.

Since I get to the corner at 5:30 every Friday with the sign bag, I'm ready to leave at 7:00. I don't know about you other strong hearts. But I'm too pooped to pop.

I understand those who've had enough by 7 pm - we may stay later, especially if we can get others to join us.
