I saw a movie on the big screen last night! I had to go all the way to Montclair at a drive-in, but it was fun and seemed safe. They had a snack bar but strictly enforced social distancing. An employee routinely checked on people in to make sure they were standing far enough apart, and no mask, no entry.
The movie I saw, The Hunt, is very violent, but it's a fun and interesting look at how radical conservatives and liberals perceive each other in an often humorous way. A lot of black humor, but again, pretty violent, too.

Thanks for the report, Oss Rae, and for the link!
Going by your comments and the trailer, "The Hunt" looks interesting. I'm guessing that you got there too late to see the first feature, "Knives Out," which was nominated for an Academy Award. That's a good bill considering how few movies have been released since March. After reading a review of the "Valley Girl" remake a couple of weeks ago, I decided to avoid it. But then, I don't think I would watch the original movie from the early '80's again, despite some good memories.
Montclair is in San Bernardino County, almost an hour's drive from here. I just heard the L.A. County health officer on TV say that drive ins may be allowed to open soon, like the Vineland in the City of Industry and the Paramount Drive In between Compton and Bellflower.

I wanted to see Knives Out, but the friend I was with had already seen it.. I hope more drive-ins open soon. It might help Angelenos feel less restless as we wait this out.

There has been some discussion on Sunland-Tujunga FB pages about somehow getting a drive-in back at the "Old KMart" site - wishful thinking but wouldn't that be a kick?

The Vineland Drive-In in The City of Industry has announced they're reopening tomorrow June2. Although, as I'm writing this, they aren't yet saying what will be playing. www.vinelanddriveintheater.com/
Last night I returned to the Tiki in Montclair (saw a lot of Black Lives Matter signs en route hanging on bridges over the 10 freeway) and saw High Note and The Invisible Man (new version). I enjoyed both both. Invisible Man was a different but very effective twist on the story. I don't want to say too much but it may be the quintessential movie about toxic, crazy-making boyfriends and stalkers. Very suspenseful and unpredictable.
