The Pasadena/San Gabriel Valley Chapter of Population Connection (the former Zero Population Growth) annual meeting is Sunday, April 18, from 2 to 3:15 pm at the La Pintoresca Library, 1355 N. Raymond Ave., Pasadena, CA. See: www.populationconnection.org/site/PageServer for information about the group. Our local group tables at nearby environmental fairs and farmer's markets with information about a sustainable world population. We're the only chapter in LA County and welcome more volunteers. If you share our belief that human overpopulation is a root cause of war and support worldwide voluntary family planning, please join us for the meeting. There'll be a brief film, congratulations to our annual high school essay contest winners, discussion of past and future activities and light refreshments.

Thanks so much, Sharon, for posting this. It is one thing I've been thinking about ever since the third grade. When we had to practice 'duck and cover', in case of an atom bomb attack on Van Nuys. I decided then never to bring children into a world where atom bombs were developed AND used. Time has passed, we've only improved our capacity for cruelty to our fellow humans. I believe the world population has our poor earth mother at her wits end. So YES I would love to join this group, Population Connection!
