I've heard there's a new Covid vaccine available. Anyone gotten it yet?

I got mine, and the new flu shot, yesterday. Only mild ache, slightly tired. But now I'm having problems with my mouse and keyboard...sigh.

Anni called me Tuesday from Albertson's, where she went to pick up a prescription, saying that she could get the Moderna vaccine, no waiting. I would have put on my shoes (and my mask) and rushed over there if I hadn't just gotten flu and pneumonia shots that morning with my annual physical. Oh, well. I'll make an appointment next week. I've read about supply problems -- even Kaiser said its patients would have to wait until the end of the month. That's because the federal government isn't running this roll out, which also means that vaccines aren't free for everybody in the U.S.A. anymore. We know somebody with insurance who went out-of-network to an urgent care center and got a bill for more than $100. Thankfully, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health offers no cost vaccinations all over the place: publichealth.lacounty.gov/vaccines/docs/BAP_PROVIDERS_REFERRAL_LIST_09-27-23.pdf
