Geoengineering generally refers to a set of emerging technologies that could manipulate the environment and might partially offset some of the impacts of climate change. While infrequently covered by mainstream media, it is demonically presented on the far-right media, often as part of a United Nation (UN) authoritarian take over; while on the left many experts, human rights groups, and environmentalists are calling for a global moratorium on efforts to geoengineer climate. Our upcoming special program this Friday promises to be an eye-opener. We'll unravel the mysteries of geoengineering: What exactly is it? Why might some argue in favor of it? Why is it so dangerous? And what's the buzz on the right about geoengineering's connection to a UN takeover? 🤔🌆
Over a decade ago, the Topanga Peace Alliance showed Michael Murphey’s first two films: “What in the World Are They Spraying?” (2010) and “Why in the World Are They Spraying?” (2012). The unfinished third documentary UNconventional Grey by Michael J. Murphy has been missing in action since 2016, the year Murphy had planned to release it. On Friday, we will be playing portions of this film along with short engaging videos on Geoengineering. Join us this Friday for an electrifying evening as we share excerpts from this elusive documentary, complemented by engaging short videos on the controversial world of geoengineering. 📽️🌦️
