That's where I'll be Friday night. I'll miss standing with you all at the corner, but I will do all that I can to speak for peace as I ring up sales of objects made with care, creativity and love. Empty Bowls will have a table at the sale too, just in case your bowl supply is low and you can't wait until November.

A few more ways to get involved in the community:
We will be having bowl workshops at the community center in La Canada on Sunday afternoons from 2 pm to 6 pm. If you would like lessons on how to make and glaze clay bowls which will be used in a fundraiser for hunger, stop by. 4469 Chevy Chase Drive in La Canada. We begin on 6/19. We have a lot of fun together.
Also, Crescenta Valley UMC is hosting a blood drive on Thursday, June 23 form 1:30 to 7:30. We are celebrating a year of remission for a 12 year old girl in our congregation. You can drop in or contact me if you want to make an appointment.

I recognize that everybody's computer cannot show the graphics that Anni posted above all of the time, so allow me to offer the link to the Community Center of La Canada Flintridge's website, where details about the Spring Ceramics Sale are prominent on the homepage: www.cclcf.org/Unlike previous CCLCF ceramics sales, this weekend's event takes place only on Friday and Saturday -- not Sunday this time -- so be sure to plan accordingly.
