CV Arts Council Paint Out 2011 Calling all artists for the second annual 2011 Crescenta Valley Paint Out, sponsored by the Crescenta Valley Arts Council! It's an exciting opportunity for local artists to capture the architecture and natural settings of the Crescenta Valley on Canvas, and display their artwork in a juried exhibition. Awards Categories include Adult, Youth, Best in Show, Community Favorite, and Theme award for best expression of the Crescenta Valley. Please join us in this celebration of our community's artistic heritage! Exciting, indeed...I, for one, will surely attend and will visit their website for more info. My paintings don't quite fit into the "naturalist, plein aire" genre, but maybe I misunderstand?

This was a great collection of mostly outdoor paintings, loosely based on on one great theme "Our Crescenta Valley" and diverse it is! The space is perfect and put to good use...the art looked great. Suzy and I loved the use of old doors (free standing) as display walls in the middle of the room, brilliant! And the lovely people welcoming us, all knew Sharon, telling how great you are with the e-blasts. Needless to say I'm a big fan, too! Thanks Sharon, this was a treat.
