This tread is for events not widely publicized, or recommendations for events widely publicized. Have you attended one that you would recommend?

I didn't know that 24 museums in Los Angeles and Orange counties were offering free admission to everybody this coming weekend (although my wife did). I learned it from our friend and yours -- Annie -- formerly of the Montrose Peace Vigil and now living in Long Beach, mentioning the message board and forwarding this e-mail to me: In a joint effort to present the arts and culture to the diverse and myriad communities in Southern California, the Museum Marketing Roundtable announces the fifth annual "Museums Free-For-All" Saturday-Sunday, October 3 and 4, 2009. The museums -- presenting art, cultural heritage, natural history and science -- that are listed in the following link will open their doors wide and invite visitors free of charge:
museumsla.org/news.aspCan you think of a museum that isn't listed? The Grammy Museum, the Autry and the Paley Center for Media are there too.
