Jeanne sent this in an e-mail last night. Thought I'd share it here, too. I'll print some of these fliers for the corner, this Friday. Here's what it says: Eleventh Annual Palm Sunday Peace Parade
In commemoration of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday we participate in the 11th annual Palm Sunday Peace Parade. Join in this family friendly act of public witness and worship. We will walk from Messiah Lutheran Church on the edge of Northwest Pasadena into the commercial center of Pasadena, ending with songs and prayers for peace at Garfield and Colorado (in front of Paseo Colorado Mall). Gather at 3:30 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church 570 E. Orange Grove Blvd. Pasadena, CA

After having such a fulfilling experience at last year's Palm Sunday Peace Parade in Pasadena -- which I wrote about in an earlier thread -- I'm really looking forward to rallying this Sunday at the Messiah Lutheran Church and marching to the mall with some wonderful folks. The Peace & Justice Academy, one of the sponsoring organizations and churches, has a page for this event and others on its website: www.thepeaceacademy.org/peaceparade/Scroll down for a photo of Roberta and Jeanne.

The 11th annual Palm Sunday Peace Parade drew more than 100 participants from Pasadena churches, the Peace & Justice Academy and other groups including Montrose Peace Vigil and the Crescenta Valley United Methodist Church -- we were mentioned during the spiritual send off at Messiah Lutheran Church before the march to the Paseo Colorado Mall. And Jeanne led those assembled on the sidewalk outside the mall in the "Litany of Resistance to Violence" in between the songs and calls to local action. Many thanks to Jeanne and Pastor Paige for getting us involved the past two years. Also representing Montrose Peace Vigil on Sunday were Nancy, Jim and Anni, who will post a couple of photos in this thread. Roberta and Jeanne at a previous parade.

Besides being a public expression of and for peace, we encourage, inspire and inform each other. And we reassure each other that we are not alone, as we do at the corner and on this message board.
