Thank you, Kathy, for coming to the corner from the opposite end of the San Gabriel Valley -- and for registering on the message board!
We're especially honored because the Claremont Peace Vigil started with the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan in 2001, a whole year before Glendale Peace Vigil and the vigils in Eagle Rock and Highland Park, which began with the Congressional authorization for war in Iraq. Montrose Peace Vigil is only nine years old this month.
I wish I had heard about your vigil before becoming stuck at work every Friday afternoon. As soon as I can get a few hours off, I will be proud to join you and the dedicated crew in Claremont.
