Send me a link to a petition demanding that U.S. troops come home from Afghanistan and I will sign it.  Sadly, I don't get as many as I used to.

Last week, Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter made his first trip to Afghanistan -- and his first official pronouncements about prolonging our occupation there, instead of withdrawing half of the remaining 10,000 troops this year and the other half in 2016 as planned.  This petition by Win Without War is addressed to his boss:

Senator Ed Markey has introduced the Smarter Approach to Nuclear Expenditures (SANE) Act, which would cut $100 billion over the next 10 years by eliminating some of the most destabilizing nuclear weapons spending. Peace Action West has a customizable letter to send to our U.S. Senators, asking them to cosponsor it:

The Peace Alliance kicked off March with two online actions.  This is the eighth consecutive campaign in a new Congress for a bill to establish a Cabinet level U.S. Department of Peacebuilding, which starts with this customizable letter to your representative and senators:
