Six of the eight from our group who marched on Hollywood Boulevard in March 2010.This January, the regulars of Montrose Peace Vigil are marking their fifth anniversary of demonstrating on the corner of Ocean View Boulevard and Honolulu Avenue in Montrose, California, every Friday evening. And in two months, we'll be going to Hollywood yet again for the annual ANSWER L.A. march. In December, 23 of us marched in the Montrose Christmas Parade for the first time as the passengers and crew of the Peace Train, which our most talented members built and painted. This page on the message board has photos taken just before the parade along with our comments: montrosepeacevigil.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=talk&action=display&thread=157&page=5You don't have to be a member to speak on this board. Half of our contingent marching behind 4000 other peace activists in Hollywood last month. In April, we're having six Montrose Peace Vigils -- all five Fridays this month along with an extra vigil on Thursday, April 7. We will be posting about all of them, starting with this page: montrosepeacevigil.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=talk&action=display&thread=181&page=1We appreciate the many visitors the message board is getting from IP addresses in Southern California lately, including some from mobile devices, and we invite everyone around the world to click on "reply."

Greetings, Message Board Wizards, Could you pull up a photo of us in costume a few years ago at Halloween? I'm looking for myself in Julia Ward Howe garb to illustrate origins of Mother's Day. Much appreciated.

This is a message board, after all, so here is a message for Frannie, who left one on my answering machine:
It was great to meet you at the vigil on Friday. Please call again. I didn't get your phone number on the corner, and your cellphone connection left off four of the ten digits I need to call you back. Hopefully, we can talk while you're online so I can show you how to use this message board.

Jim, Jeanne and Roberta displaying their banner on the corner between our regular Friday vigils. This wraps up page 4 of the "Guests are welcome!" thread. I know this format can seem awkward for many visitors, especially those expecting a real website. The Montrose Peace Vigil message board has six departments on the homepage, which take you to lists of topics with ten replies per page, the oldest first. There's another way to get to what's new at any time -- click on the 25 most recent posts of this forum: montrosepeacevigil.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=recentOn that page, the first post you see is the latest. To read more about any of the topics there, just click on the title in the pink rectangle heading each post. To navigate between the pages of a thread, click on the arrows (<< or >>) at the left of the blue rectangles at the top and bottom of each page. Or enter another page number and click on "Go."
