Thanks for putting the bowl workshop schedule up, anni. I'm looking forward to your help and good spirits in the studio. And all of you other MPV message board readers and contributers, come join us in La Canada on Sunday afternoons. We'll show you how to make bowls which is a fun thing to do and then the bowls will be donated to our soup dinner which is a fundraiser for hunger. It's hard to be peaceful if you're hungry, so join us and MAKE BOWLS NOT WAR.

Lest we forget, my darlings, new day, new year...new bowls...Brian will be hard at work in Palm Desert, while I get the weekend off to express myself and play with clay. Can you make it, too?

I am coming on Sunday too! And look what another potter, Michael Crosby, is up to this coming Monday evening at 7pm here in LaCrescenta, at the Center for Spiritual Living (Dunsmore & Santa Carlotta): www.cvhistory.org/meetings/meetings.htmI'll bring a print copy tonight. And let's talk about our Memorial Day meditative curve ball.

That was a fortuitous beginning to the bowls. Such good spirits. anni, you bring creative, positive, constructive energy to us that is like powerful incense. And Roberta sacrificed a fancy schmancy event to be in the bowl world. I am touched. I don't know everyone, but I do surround myself with people who care about important things. If this scene entices you, give in to it and join us.

Tomorrow, Sunday...is another Empty Bowls day...at the CCLCF (see flyer above) from 2:00-6:00PM. Be sure to make some extra bowls for me to trim or glaze, next time (June 6th). I'll be playing hookie with Brian at the 21st Annual Silent Film Gala, Royce Hall, enjoying Buster Keaton in "The Cameraman". The L.A. Chamber Orchestra performs so it's not really a silent movie. An all together fine time!

This isn't really about Empty Bowls...and yet it is a close cousin. Support for the place where so many of our Empty Bowls are born.
